The proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch help support our youth and children’s ministry programs throughout the year, and also introduces others in the community to JFUMC through visiting the “Patch”. All the pumpkins are grown in Northern New Mexico on land leased from the Navajo Indian Reservation by Pumpkin Patch Fundraisers. The crops are planted, cared for and harvested by the people in the Navajo community, providing employment that helps them support their families. Pumpkins are shipped all over the United States to churches and organizations with no up front payments. When the fundraiser is concluded and final sales are calculated, the church keeps a percentage based on the sales.
